Ear Infection
Ear infection – An ear infection is really
painful for any adult let alone a child or baby, so you can understand how children must feel and the pain they suffer when they contract the
infection.
Middle ear infection
You will know when your child or baby has an ear infection because you may find that they
could be shouted and not be able to hear
you properly due to the disorder, dulling the hearing, usually the infection comes with a temperature,
crying is also what comes with any ear problems, whether it may be a baby, young child or adult as we can relate to just a normal earache in
general let alone an ear infection, yet young babies obviously cant tell you what the problem is or where the pain is coming from so as us
parents know sometimes with our children it has to be a guessing game at times. Always be sure to contact your GP if your baby or child is
crying a lot or more than usual and also if the sound of there cry is an unusual and painful cry.
Antibiotics are usual prescriptive drugs given by doctors for this common pain in the ear,
depending on the severity of the condition and the age of the child because most infections of this nature can clear up all by
themselves within a few days but it all depending how bad they are.

Sometimes the ear can become severely inflamed and will eventually start oozing
with yellow or brown pus that is not very nice but that is the infection coming out. This usually happens once the ear infection has been
diagnosed or treated and beginning to ease up and also this reduces the pressure in the ear.
Most commonly ear infection starts with cold symptoms such as a runny nose
Also children who live with smokers are more likely to become ill with a middle-ear infection than
are those who live in no smoking house. Also there could be some vomiting or nausea and along with pain (mild or severe) and throbbing
in the ear, even just getting over a sore throat or having a spate of hay fever can cause ear infections because of the sinuses being
connected.
If you suspect you or child has a problem with their ears then always consult your GP
because the infection can turn seriously nasty. And left without medical attention it could result in further long term medical problems
such as hearing loss.
Always consult your doctor if you suspect ear pain
especially with a baby or young child, or notice pus oozing from the ear and redness of the ear, or ears. Even if you feel your child
doesn’t hear you as well as he/she should and has cold symptoms which may include a runny nose fever then don't hesitate to visit
a medical center, or call into your local hospital.
